The LISHEN LR2170LA is a high-power 21700 lithium-ion cell combining 4000mAh nominal capacity with up to 45A continuous discharge under mandatory thermal protection. It supports a manufacturer-defined 6A rapid-charge condition and provides low initial AC impedance for demanding loads. The cell is intended for professionally engineered battery packs incorporating active voltage, current and temperature protection.
The LR2170LA provides 4000mAh nominal and 3800mAh minimum capacity under its documented capacity test. Combined with a 3.60V nominal voltage, it delivers approximately 14.4Wh per cell and balances useful energy storage with the current capability required by power-oriented 21700 battery systems.
LISHEN specifies a 45A maximum continuous-discharge current with an 80°C cell-surface cutoff. The battery pack must monitor the hottest cell location and interrupt discharge before the thermal limit is exceeded. Suitable conductors, welded connections, cooling and correctly configured overcurrent protection are required for high-load operation.
The rapid-charge method uses 6A constant current followed by constant voltage at 4.20V, ending when current falls to 100mA. Maximum continuous charging is limited to 3A at 0–15°C and 6A above 15°C to 50°C. LISHEN recommends minimizing fast charging when cycle life is the priority.
Initial AC impedance is specified at no more than 12mΩ at 1kHz. The bare cell weighs no more than 67g and measures 21.2±0.2mm in diameter by 70.5±0.2mm in height, supporting compact high-current pack layouts with standardized cylindrical-cell spacing and mechanical retention.
In the manufacturer’s discharge-rate test, capacity at 40A remains at least 90% of the 10A reference result. A separate 0.8A temperature test reports at least 60% relative capacity at -20°C and at least 90% at 60°C after a three-hour temperature stabilization period.
The documented cycle test uses a 6A charge and 35A discharge, with discharge ending at 2.5V or the 80°C cutoff. After 300 cycles, capacity must remain at least 60% of first-cycle capacity. Actual service life depends on current, temperature, cooling, charge strategy and depth of discharge.
Custom battery pack applications: Potential uses include professional power tools, robotic equipment, light electric mobility, portable power systems and other high-current products after application-specific validation. MisenBattery supplies LISHEN cells and supports custom pack integration incorporating a compatible BMS, fuse, welded interconnects, cell-voltage balancing, temperature sensing, insulation, cell spacing, mechanical restraint, cooling and thermal-propagation protection. Supporting CE, UN38.3, RoHS and UL documentation can be provided when available for the applicable product, pack and shipment; the source does not identify certificate numbers.
