Tenpower INR21700-50ME is a rechargeable 21700 cylindrical lithium-ion cell manufactured by Jiangsu Tenpower Lithium Co., Ltd. The supplied V0.3 specification lists 3.6 V nominal voltage, 5000 mAh nominal capacity and 4900 mAh minimum capacity, with approximately 18.0 Wh of calculated nominal energy. MisenBattery supplies cells and supports custom pack evaluation using the manufacturer's defined capacity tests, temperature-dependent charging currents, mechanical limits and cycle-test procedure.
The cell offers 5000 mAh nominal capacity and 4900 mAh minimum capacity, based on 980 mA discharge to 2.5 V after standard charging. Calculated nominal energy is approximately 18.0 Wh at 3.6 V. The manufacturer defines 1C as 4900 mA, so current conversions should follow this stated basis when comparing cells and sizing packs.
Tenpower lists 14.7 A as the maximum continuous discharge current and marks it “not for cycle life.” This maximum should remain separate from the 4.9 A discharge used in the cycle test. Pack evaluation should establish current limits through load-profile, voltage-drop and thermal validation, with suitable interconnects, cooling and current protection.
Standard charging uses 2.45 A CC-CV to 4.2 V with 98 mA termination at 25 ± 3°C. Maximum charging current is 4.9 A, marked “not for cycle life.” The temperature table specifies 980 mA for cell surface temperatures above 0°C through 15°C, and 4900 mA above 15°C through 45°C.
The cycle requirement is at least 60% of first discharge capacity after 800 cycles at 25 ± 3°C. Each cycle uses 2.45 A CC-CV charging to 4.20 V with 98 mA termination, a 15-minute rest, 4.9 A discharge to 2.75 V and a 30-minute rest. This is a defined test rather than a universal pack-life guarantee.
The V0.3 drawing specifies a maximum diameter of 21.35 mm and maximum height of 70.80 mm, including the heat-shrink sleeve. Maximum cell weight is 71.0 g in this revision. These limits support holder selection, enclosure-clearance calculations and assembly planning, with allowances for insulation, terminal connections, cell spacing and validated thermal and mechanical design.
AC internal impedance is specified as no more than 30 mΩ at 1 kHz and 25 ± 3°C. A separate storage test requires at least 90% capacity retention after 28 days at 25 ± 3°C from standard charge, measured by 980 mA discharge to 2.5 V. These conditions support consistent inspection and technical comparison.
Custom battery pack applications: MisenBattery supplies Tenpower cells and supports custom pack evaluation for portable equipment, industrial devices and mobility applications, subject to load-profile and environmental validation. Integration should include a compatible BMS, fuse protection, voltage and temperature sensing, validated spot-welded interconnects, insulation, cell spacing and thermal and mechanical design. Do not solder directly to the cell. Confirm applicable CE, UN38.3, RoHS and UL documentation for the specific cell, pack and shipment; the supplied safety-test criteria do not establish certification status.
