The DFD LFR48168WH1-40Ah-J is a rechargeable cylindrical lithium-ion cell manufactured by Do-Fluoride New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. It combines a 3.20 V nominal voltage with 40 Ah nominal capacity, giving approximately 128 Wh of calculated single-cell energy. Its dimensional drawing, defined pulse conditions and test-specific cycle data support evaluation for custom battery packs. MisenBattery supplies the cell and supports pack integration according to the manufacturer’s electrical, thermal and mechanical requirements.
A minimum rated capacity of 40.0 Ah is specified at 25°C with 0.5C discharge to 2.5 V. The 3.20 V nominal voltage provides a clear basis for series configuration and energy calculations. Approximately 128 Wh per cell is calculated from nominal voltage and capacity; usable pack energy depends on operating conditions, voltage limits and system losses.
The 48168-format cell measures 48.2 ± 0.3 mm in diameter, with an overall H1 height of 168.1 ± 0.5 mm and H2 height of 166.0 ± 0.5 mm. Weight is 710 ± 20 g including the PET sleeve. These tolerances help engineers establish cell spacing, holders, insulation and enclosure clearance before confirming the final pack layout.
The datasheet specifies a 3C maximum continuous discharge limit, explicitly marked “not for cycle,” and a 5C pulse limit for no more than 30 seconds while cell temperature remains below 55°C. These correspond to 120 A and 200 A on a 40 Ah reference basis. Pack current limits must also follow the manufacturer’s temperature and SOC derating tables.
Standard charging uses 0.5C CC-CV to 3.65 V, ending at 0.05C at 25 ± 2°C. The separate 1.5C maximum continuous charge entry specifies 25–40°C and a maximum 50% SOC. Other tables describe different staged conditions; confirm their intended use with the manufacturer. A compatible charger and BMS must enforce temperature, voltage and SOC-dependent current limits.
AC resistance is specified at no more than 1.0 mΩ, while DC resistance is no more than 3.0 mΩ under a 3C, 10-second test. Both values apply at 20% SOC and 25°C. Keeping the measurement methods separate helps engineers compare cells correctly and assess voltage drop and heat generation under the intended pack duty cycle.
The standard room-temperature test specifies at least 3,000 cycles to 70% of rated capacity using 0.5C charge and discharge at 25 ± 2°C, with 30-minute rests. Separate tests specify at least 1,500 cycles under staged fast charge and 2C discharge, and at least 2,000 cycles at 45 ± 2°C with 0.5C cycling. These are distinct test results, not interchangeable service-life promises.
Custom battery pack applications: MisenBattery supplies DFD cells and supports custom pack evaluation for energy storage, backup power and industrial equipment. Each application requires validation of the load profile and environment, a compatible BMS, fuse protection, voltage and temperature sensing, validated welded interconnects, insulation, cell spacing and thermal and mechanical design. The supplied V1.0 datasheet does not mark CE, UN38.3, RoHS or UL certification as passed; confirm applicable documentation and shipment requirements before procurement.
