The supplied Ampace specification identifies a 21700A rechargeable lithium-ion cell with 3.7 V nominal voltage and at least 4000 mAh standard discharge capacity under defined fresh-cell conditions. It specifies separate continuous and five-second pulse discharge limits, plus temperature-dependent charging. MisenBattery supplies cells and supports custom pack evaluation using confirmed model identity, protection settings and application requirements. The uploaded filename references JP40, whose correspondence to 21700A requires confirmation.
Minimum standard discharge capacity is 4000 mAh after 2 A CC-CV charging to 4.2 V with 80 mA termination, then 0.8 A discharge to 2.5 V at 25 ± 2°C. A separate high-rate test requires at least 3900 mAh at 40 A. These starred criteria apply to unused cells within 30 days of manufacture.
The specification lists 45 A without triggering an 80°C temperature cut, and 60 A with an 80°C temperature cut. Section 4.17 separately gives a 75°C operating surface-temperature ceiling. Retain both statements and confirm their coordination with Ampace before setting pack limits, with independent temperature monitoring and application validation required for the finished battery pack.
Maximum pulse discharge is 140 A for five seconds at 25 ± 2°C. This defined duration supports evaluation of brief current demands. SOC, pulse repetition and recovery intervals are not supplied, so they require confirmation before repeated operation. Pack interconnects, sensing and protection should be validated against the intended pulse profile.
Maximum charging follows cell surface temperature: 0.4 A from −10°C to below 0°C, 2 A from 0°C to below 10°C, and 8 A from 10°C to below 45°C, each to 4.2 V with 200 mA termination. From 45°C to 60°C, the table specifies 8 A constant-current charging to 4.1 V.
Both cycle protocols use rated 8 A charging and require at least 2400 mAh after testing: 600 cycles at 30 A discharge, or 400 cycles at 40 A discharge. Testing uses 25 ± 2°C, 2.5 V discharge cut-off and specified rests. The 40 A protocol additionally requires cooling from above 75°C to 50°C before resuming.
Maximum sleeved dimensions are 21.31 mm diameter and 70.42 mm height, with a maximum weight of 70 g. Initial AC impedance is at most 4 mΩ at 1 kHz in shipment-voltage condition, subject to the fresh-cell qualification. The drawing prohibits bottom tab welding within the central Ø6 mm area, which must be respected during assembly.
Custom battery pack applications: MisenBattery supplies Ampace cells and supports custom pack evaluation for power tools and industrial equipment, subject to model confirmation and application validation. Integration requires a compatible BMS, fuse protection, voltage and temperature sensing, validated welding and interconnect processes, insulation, cell spacing and suitable thermal and mechanical design. Preserve the bottom Ø6 mm no-weld area. Confirm applicable CE, UN38.3, RoHS and UL documentation for the specific cell, pack and shipment; certification status is not established by the supplied specification alone.
