Tenpower INR21700-30TG is a rechargeable 21700 cylindrical lithium-ion cell manufactured by Jiangsu Tenpower Lithium Co., Ltd. The V0.2 specification lists 3.6 V nominal voltage, 3000 mAh nominal and minimum capacity, and up to 40 A continuous discharge with an 80°C temperature cut-off. MisenBattery supplies cells and supports custom pack evaluation using the manufacturer's charging limits, impedance conditions, mechanical dimensions and defined cycle-test requirements.
The specification lists both nominal and minimum capacity as 3000 mAh, measured after standard charging with 600 mA discharge to 2.5 V. At 3.6 V nominal voltage, calculated nominal energy is approximately 10.8 Wh. These figures provide a defined starting point for pack sizing, while usable energy depends on load, temperature and protection settings.
Tenpower specifies up to 40 A continuous discharge with an 80°C temperature cut-off. This condition must remain part of the current rating when evaluating demanding loads. Pack design should validate cell temperature, interconnect capacity, cooling and protection response under the intended duty cycle, then set operating limits appropriate to the complete assembly.
Standard charging uses 1.5 A CC-CV to 4.2 V with 100 mA termination. Rated charging uses 4 A with the same voltage and termination settings, while maximum charging current is 6 A. Listed standard and rated charging times are 150 and 90 minutes at 25 ± 3°C, providing distinct procedures for charger selection.
The specified AC internal impedance is no more than 15 mΩ at 1 kHz, measured at 25 ± 3°C and 30% SOC. These conditions support incoming inspection and consistent cell comparisons. Engineers should use appropriate DC resistance measurements and thermal testing when estimating voltage drop and heating under the intended pack load.
The supplied drawing specifies a maximum diameter of 21.35 mm and maximum height of 70.35 mm; maximum cell weight is 70.0 g. These limits help define holder fit, cell spacing and enclosure clearance. Pack integration should also account for insulation, terminal connections, assembly tolerances and a thermal path validated for the intended operating current.
The cycle requirement is at least 60% of first discharge capacity after 300 cycles at 25 ± 3°C. Each cycle uses 6 A charging to 4.2 V with 100 mA termination, a 10-minute rest, 40 A discharge to 2.5 V or 80°C, then a 45-minute rest. This test does not establish a universal pack service life.
Custom battery pack applications: MisenBattery supplies Tenpower cells and supports custom pack evaluation for power tools, industrial equipment and mobility applications, subject to load-profile and environmental validation. Integration should include a compatible BMS, fuse protection, voltage and temperature sensing, validated spot-welded interconnects, insulation, cell spacing and thermal and mechanical design. Confirm applicable CE, UN38.3, RoHS and UL documentation for the specific cell, pack and shipment; the supplied safety-test criteria do not establish certification status.
