The TENPOWER INR21700-40TG combines 4000mAh nominal capacity with a manufacturer-specified 35A continuous-discharge rating for high-power 21700 battery systems. It supports 2A standard charging, 4A rated charging and a maximum charge current of 6A. Low AC impedance and compact cylindrical construction make it suitable for professionally engineered packs requiring a practical balance of energy capacity, current output and thermal control.
The 40TG provides 4000mAh nominal and 3950mAh minimum capacity under the manufacturer’s standard test conditions. Its 3.6V nominal voltage corresponds to approximately 14.4Wh per cell, providing a useful energy reserve for power-oriented battery packs without moving beyond the established 21700 cylindrical format.
TENPOWER specifies a maximum continuous-discharge current of 35A with an 80°C cell-temperature cutoff. The pack must actively measure temperature and interrupt discharge before the limit is exceeded. This rating supports demanding loads when combined with suitable conductors, welded connections, cooling and correctly configured overcurrent protection.
p>Standard charging uses 2A CC-CV to 4.20V with a 100mA cutoff, while the rated-charge condition increases current to 4A. The manufacturer also specifies a 6A maximum charge current. Charger design must monitor voltage, current, time and cell temperature and prevent charging above 4.25V.
AC internal impedance is specified at no more than 12mΩ when measured at 1kHz, 25±3°C and 30% SOC. The cell measures no more than 21.35mm in diameter and 70.35mm in height, with a maximum weight of 69g for compact high-current assemblies.
The manufacturer’s discharge-rate test records 90% relative capacity at 30A compared with its 0.2C reference. During the separate temperature test, the cell delivers 60% relative capacity at -20°C using a 10A discharge after temperature stabilization. These are controlled test results rather than unconditional application guarantees.
The documented cycle test uses a 6A charge followed by a 35A discharge to 2.5V or the 80°C cutoff. After 300 cycles, capacity must remain at least 60% of the initial discharge capacity. Actual service life depends on temperature, current, depth of discharge, cooling and charging strategy.
