The ND21700-4500mAh-3C is a cylindrical rechargeable lithium-ion cell specified at 3.7V and 4500mAh. Its 21700 format combines approximately 16.65Wh of calculated nominal energy with up to 13.5A continuous discharge at cell temperatures of 0°C or above. The manufacturer's specification also defines lower current limits for cold operation and a separate 5-second instantaneous discharge value. MisenBattery can supply the cell and support custom pack integration for applications whose electrical and thermal requirements have been verified.
The manufacturer specifies both nominal and minimum capacity as 4500mAh at 0.2C. Its minimum-capacity condition discharges the cell from 4.2V to 2.75V. At 3.7V nominal, 4.5Ah corresponds to approximately 16.65Wh of calculated nominal energy. Capacity available in a finished pack will depend on load current, temperature and pack-level cut-off settings.
The specified cell diameter is 21.7 ± 0.3mm and height is 70.5 ± 0.3mm, with an approximate weight of 69.8g. These values support pack layout and mass estimates for a 21700 design. The finished assembly must also allow space for insulation, welded interconnects, electrical protection and suitable mechanical retention.
Maximum continuous discharge is 3C, or 13.5A, at cell temperatures of 0°C or above. The limit decreases to 9A from −10°C to below 0°C and 4.5A from −20°C to below −10°C. A separate maximum instantaneous discharge of 18A is specified for 5 seconds; it is not a continuous rating.
Standard charging uses 0.9A constant current to 4.2V, followed by constant voltage until current falls to 0.01C. Maximum charge current is 4.5A at cell temperatures of at least 10°C and 0.9A from 0°C to below 10°C. The specified charging range is 0°C to 45°C, making temperature-aware charge control necessary.
The manufacturer's cycle test specifies at least 80% of nominal capacity after 800 cycles at 25 ± 2°C, using 0.5C charging and 3C discharging. This result is tied to those test conditions. Actual service life in a battery pack can differ with charging strategy, temperature, discharge depth and operating profile.
AC internal resistance is specified as no more than 21mΩ at 1000Hz. In the manufacturer's normal-temperature discharge test, the 3C discharge result must reach at least 90% of nominal capacity under its stated procedure. These laboratory figures help define cell selection; pack-level voltage drop and heat generation also depend on connections, cooling and the actual load profile.
Custom battery pack applications: This cell may be evaluated for appropriately engineered portable equipment, mobility or other custom 21700 packs after their load and temperature requirements are checked. MisenBattery supplies cells and supports pack integration with a compatible BMS, fuse protection, welded interconnects, temperature sensing, insulation and suitable thermal and mechanical design. Do not solder directly to the cell. Request applicable CE, UN38.3, RoHS or UL documentation for the specific product and shipment; the supplied specification does not establish those approvals.
