The INR21700-5000 is a high-power 3.6V lithium-ion cell with 5000mAh typical capacity and 4800mAh minimum capacity. It supports 15A rated charging, 50A continuous discharge and a specified 150A pulse discharge for less than five seconds at room temperature, making it suitable for professionally engineered high-current battery systems.
The INR21700-5000 provides 5000mAh typical capacity and 4800mAh minimum capacity when tested at 0.2C. Its 3.6V nominal voltage delivers approximately 18Wh of nominal energy from a single cell, combining useful runtime with the high-current characteristics required by demanding portable and mobile power systems.
The cylindrical cell measures approximately 21.2mm in diameter and 70.5mm in height, with detailed diameter tolerances specified for different shell positions. At 67±3g, it supports compact battery-module layouts. Cell holders, insulation rings, busbars and module clearances should follow the manufacturer’s dimensional drawing and verified production samples.
The cell supports a maximum continuous discharge current of 50A without triggering the specified 80°C temperature cut-off. A 90A discharge condition is separately listed with an 80°C cell-surface cut-off. Battery designers must retain these thermal qualifications and provide adequate sensing, cooling, current protection and conductor sizing.
For short high-power demands, the specification lists a maximum pulse discharge current of 150A for less than five seconds at room temperature. This clearly defined time limit must be enforced at pack level. Actual availability also depends on cell temperature, state of charge, voltage drop, interconnect resistance and the protection-system response time.
The recommended CC-CV method charges at constant current to 4.2V and continues at constant voltage until the current falls to 0.02C. Standard charging is 0.5C, approximately 2.5A, while the rated charge current is 3C or 15A. Charge temperature must remain within the specified 0°C to 60°C surface-temperature range.
Internal resistance is specified below 5mΩ ACIR, supporting efficient high-current operation when cells are properly matched and interconnected. The published cell-surface temperature range is 0°C to 60°C during charging and -40°C to 75°C during discharge. Allowable current may still require derating at temperature extremes according to the complete manufacturer specification.
Custom battery pack applications: The ANCE INR21700-5000 may be considered for high-power tools, robotics, mobility systems, industrial equipment and other professionally engineered battery packs. MisenBattery supplies cells and supports custom integration with a compatible BMS, high-current fuses, welded interconnects, voltage and temperature sensing, cell-level insulation, spacing, mechanical restraint and thermal management. Availability and scope of CE, UN38.3, RoHS or UL documentation must be confirmed for the applicable cell batch, pack configuration and shipment.
