The CORNEX RF39-21A is a large-format 40140 cylindrical LiFePO4 cell with 3.2V nominal voltage, 21Ah nominal capacity and 67.2Wh nominal energy. Its 21A continuous discharge capability, low AC impedance and defined 10-second pulse ratings support custom battery modules for electric scooters, light electric vehicles, portable energy storage and other applications requiring stable LFP performance.
The RF39-21A provides 21Ah nominal capacity when tested at 25 ± 2°C with 0.33C charging and discharging. A separate higher-rate test specifies 20.5Ah at 0.5C charge and 1C discharge, allowing battery designers to distinguish nominal capacity from capacity measured under a heavier operating load.
With 3.2V nominal voltage and 21Ah capacity, each cell stores 67.2Wh of nominal energy. Its approximately 40.5mm diameter and 139.9mm total height with protective film provide a large cylindrical platform for modular battery construction where higher per-cell capacity can reduce the number of parallel cells required.
The cell supports 1C, or 21A, continuous discharge across its specified -30 to 55°C discharge range. For short-duration power demand, the specification defines a maximum 3C, or 63A, discharge pulse lasting 10 seconds at room temperature and 50% state of charge.
Continuous charging is specified at 0.1C from 0 to 5°C, 0.2C from 5 to 10°C and 0.5C from 10 to 55°C. This temperature-based charging profile helps pack engineers configure suitable BMS current limits. Charging must stop above 55°C, and charging below 0°C is not specified.
Fresh RF39-21A cells are specified with AC impedance of no more than 2.50mΩ when measured at 1kHz and 20% SOC. Resistance, capacity and open-circuit voltage should be checked and matched before assembly to promote more balanced current sharing across parallel groups and more consistent module-level performance.
The specified discharge range extends from -30 to 55°C, while 10 to 35°C is identified as the preferred continuous operating range. The lower operating-voltage limit changes from 2.50V above 0°C to 2.00V at 0°C or below, requiring temperature-aware voltage protection and pack-control settings.
Custom battery pack applications: The CORNEX RF39-21A can be considered for electric scooters, light electric vehicles, portable power systems and stationary LFP storage modules. Misenpower supplies battery cells and supports custom pack integration with a compatible BMS, fusing, welded or approved terminal connections, voltage and temperature sensing, cell matching, insulation, vibration restraint, cooling clearance and suitable mechanical protection. Applicable CE, UN38.3, RoHS and UL documentation availability must be confirmed for the specific product, production batch and shipment before order release.
