The EVE INR21700-40P is a rechargeable lithium-ion power cell developed for power-tool battery systems. It combines at least 4000mAh of standard discharge capacity with a specified 50A maximum continuous-discharge capability. A 6A rapid-charge profile, documented high-rate capacity performance and separate 10A and 30A cycle tests provide useful engineering data for professionally protected high-power battery packs.
Standard discharge capacity is at least 4000mAh when measured at 0.8A and 25°C after standard charging, with discharge ending at 2.50V. At the 3.6V nominal voltage, this equals approximately 14.4Wh of calculated nominal energy per cell for compact, high-output power-tool battery configurations.
EVE specifies a maximum continuous-discharge current of 50A with an 80°C cell-surface temperature cutoff. The battery pack must monitor temperature and interrupt the load before the limit is exceeded. Interconnect resistance, cooling, cell matching and actual duty cycle should also be evaluated when designing around this high-current capability.
The standard charge profile uses 2A at 25°C, while the defined rapid-charge profile uses 6A. Both apply CC-CV charging to 4.20V with a 100mA termination current. Charger voltage accuracy, balancing, temperature sensing and heat dissipation must be engineered for the selected charge rate and complete battery configuration.
Initial internal impedance is specified at no more than 13mΩ using an AC 1kHz measurement at shipping SOC. Under the manufacturer’s rate test, relative capacity remains at least 95% at 20A, 93% at 30A and 90% at 40A, compared with the defined 10A reference capacity.
At 10A discharge, the cell must retain at least 60% of initial cycle capacity after 600 cycles. A separate 30A discharge test requires the same retention after 300 cycles. Both tests use 6A charging, a 2.50V or 75°C discharge cutoff, and controlled rest periods at 25±2°C.
The sleeved cell measures 21.15±0.10mm in diameter and 70.15±0.15mm in height, with a maximum weight of 70g. EVE recommends more than 1mm spacing between cells, protection from mechanical shock and welded terminal connections. Damaged sleeves or distorted cells must be rejected before pack assembly.
Custom battery pack applications: The EVE INR21700-40P is intended for power-tool battery systems and may support cordless drills, saws, grinders, garden tools, commercial cleaning equipment and other validated high-power industrial products. MisenBattery supplies EVE cells and supports custom pack integration with a suitable BMS, fuse, welded interconnects, temperature sensing, electrical insulation, cell spacing, and application-specific thermal and mechanical design. Supporting CE, UN38.3, RoHS and UL documentation can be provided when available for the applicable cell, completed battery pack and shipment.
