The Samsung SDI INR18650-20S is a high-power rechargeable lithium-ion cell combining at least 2000mAh standard discharge capacity with a manufacturer-specified 30A continuous-discharge rating. Its 3.6V nominal voltage, low initial impedance and compact 18650 construction support professionally engineered power-tool and industrial battery packs requiring strong current delivery, limited voltage sag and carefully managed thermal performance.
The 20S provides at least 2000mAh when discharged at 400mA to 2.50V after standard charging. Its rated capacity remains at least 1950mAh when tested at a substantially higher 10A discharge current, providing a useful capacity reference for demanding battery-pack loads.
Samsung SDI specifies a maximum continuous-discharge current of 30A at 25°C. This high-current capability is intended for properly engineered battery assemblies with low-resistance welded connections, suitable conductor sizing, effective heat removal and temperature monitoring at the hottest cell position.
Initial internal impedance is specified at no more than 15mΩ when measured at AC 1kHz after standard charging. Low cell impedance helps limit voltage drop and internal heat generation during high-current operation, although total pack resistance also includes welds, busbars, wiring and protection devices.
Standard charging uses 1A constant current followed by 4.20V constant-voltage charging and a 100mA termination current. The rated charge condition uses 4A with the same voltage and cut-off current, providing an approximately 60-minute charge time at 25°C under controlled conditions.
