The EVE INR21700-40PL is a high-power rechargeable lithium-ion cell combining 4000mAh minimum capacity with a manufacturer-defined 70A maximum discharge condition. Its 21700 format provides approximately 14.4Wh of nominal energy, while 8A maximum charging, low initial impedance and documented 40A cycle testing support professionally engineered battery packs requiring high current output and compact cylindrical construction.
Standard discharge capacity is specified at no less than 4000mAh under the detailed 0.8A, 25°C test ending at 2.50V. Combined with a nominal voltage of 3.6V, this provides approximately 14.4Wh of calculated nominal energy per cell for high-power battery configurations where output capability is prioritized.
EVE defines a 70A maximum discharge condition with termination at 2.50V or the applicable temperature limit. The recommended thermal cutoff is 75°C, with 80°C stated as the maximum. Pack engineers should validate duty cycle, voltage sag, interconnect resistance, cooling and cell temperature before applying this high-current limit.
The standard charging profile uses 2A at 25°C, while the specified maximum-charge profile uses 8A. Both use CC-CV charging to 4.20V with a 0.1A termination current. Charger accuracy, cell balancing, temperature sensing and heat dissipation must be engineered around the selected charge rate and complete pack configuration.
Initial internal impedance is specified at no more than 5mΩ using an AC 1kHz measurement at shipping state of charge. Rate testing retains at least 95% relative capacity at both 30A and 40A under the defined 25°C test, supporting strong capacity delivery under demanding current loads.
The cycle test uses 6A CC-CV charging and 40A discharging to 2.50V or the 75°C cutoff, with controlled rest periods after charge and discharge. After 400 cycles, capacity must remain at least 60% of the first-cycle capacity measured at 25±2°C. Actual service life varies with operating conditions.
The sleeved cell measures 21.15±0.10mm in diameter and 70.15±0.15mm in height, with maximum weight of 67g. EVE recommends cell spacing above 1mm and temperature sensing around 30mm from the cell bottom. Pack construction should protect the sleeve, secure the cells and use welded terminals instead of direct soldering.
Custom battery pack applications: Subject to engineering validation, the EVE INR21700-40PL can support high-power tools, commercial cleaning equipment, robotics, garden equipment, light electric mobility and industrial power modules. MisenBattery supplies EVE cells and supports custom pack integration with a suitable BMS, fuse, welded interconnects, temperature sensing, electrical insulation, cell spacing, and application-specific thermal and mechanical design. Supporting CE, UN38.3, RoHS and UL documentation can be provided when available for the applicable cell, completed battery pack and shipment.
