The Lyrasom LY-40140 is a 3.2V 20Ah cylindrical LiFePO4 cell manufactured by Mianyang Liyuan New Energy. Its full-tab construction, 40A continuous discharge capability and 100A 10-second pulse rating support custom battery systems for electric two- and three-wheelers, residential and portable energy storage, communication backup power and other high-capacity LFP applications.
The LY-40140 combines a 3.2V nominal voltage with 20Ah published capacity, providing approximately 64Wh of energy per cell. Its LiFePO4 chemistry offers a stable, cobalt-free platform for mobility, backup power and energy-storage systems that require larger individual cells and fewer parallel connections.
Its full-tab construction is designed to shorten the internal current path and improve current collection compared with conventional limited-tab designs. This structure supports the cell's higher current capability while helping battery engineers manage electrical resistance, heat distribution and mechanical integration within large-format cylindrical modules.
The published maximum continuous discharge current is 2C, equivalent to 40A based on the 20Ah capacity. For brief power demand, the cell is rated for a maximum 5C, or 100A, discharge pulse lasting no more than 10 seconds under qualified operating conditions.
Standard charging uses a 0.5C, or 10A, constant-current phase followed by constant-voltage charging at 3.60V, with termination at 0.05C or 1A. Maximum charging capability is temperature-dependent, so the final BMS current map must be verified against the controlled manufacturer specification.
The published cell data specifies internal resistance of no more than 3mΩ and a gravimetric energy density of 160Wh/kg. Cells should still be matched by measured capacity, open-circuit voltage and resistance before assembly because the source does not state the resistance test frequency, SOC or temperature.
Public production information reports at least 5,000 cycles with remaining capacity of 80% or higher. Because the detailed charge rate, discharge rate, depth of discharge, temperature and end-of-life test conditions are not published in the available extract, this cycle claim should be confirmed before system-life calculations.
Custom battery pack applications: The LY-40140 may be integrated into electric two- and three-wheelers, portable energy storage, residential storage and communication backup systems. Misenpower supplies cells and supports custom battery pack integration with a validated BMS, pack fuse, approved welded or bolted interconnects, voltage and temperature sensing, cell insulation, spacing, mechanical restraint and thermal design. Availability and applicability of CE, UN38.3, RoHS, UL and SDS/MSDS documentation must be confirmed for the specific product batch and shipment.
