The Headway 40152S is a 3.2V 17Ah rechargeable LiFePO4 cylindrical cell with threaded terminals for modular battery assembly. It provides approximately 54.4Wh nominal energy, supports 34A maximum continuous discharge and has a published 100A pulse rating. Its Ø40 × 152mm body is designed for high-current battery packs, electric mobility and energy-storage applications requiring serviceable busbar connections.
The 40152S combines 3.2V nominal voltage with 17Ah nominal capacity, providing approximately 54.4Wh per cell. Its LiFePO4 chemistry and defined 3.65V charge and 2.0V discharge limits provide a practical basis for designing modular series and parallel battery configurations.
Recommended discharge current is 17A or 1C, while maximum continuous discharge is specified at 34A or 2C. A separate 100A pulse value is published at approximately 6C, but its allowable duration must be confirmed before integration into a battery system.
The recommended charge current is 8.5A or 0.5C, with a published maximum charge current of 17A or 1C. A LiFePO4-compatible charger and correctly configured BMS must enforce the 3.65V cell-level charge limit and appropriate overcurrent protection.
Internal resistance is listed at no more than 4mΩ, although the measurement frequency, SOC and temperature are not stated. Cells should therefore be checked for voltage, resistance, physical condition and batch consistency before series or parallel module assembly.
Reference cycle life is approximately 2,000 cycles, while self-discharge is listed at about 2% per month. Because the source does not provide complete test conditions, actual service life must be evaluated according to temperature, depth of discharge, current profile and pack-control strategy.
The cylindrical body measures Ø40 × 152mm, with an overall height of approximately 165mm including its threaded terminals. The terminal design enables removable busbar connections when correct hardware, specified torque, insulation barriers and vibration-resistant assembly methods are used.
Custom battery pack applications: The Headway 40152S can support electric mobility, AGVs, robotics, backup power, solar storage and serviceable high-current modules after application-specific validation. MisenBattery supplies cells and supports custom pack integration, including BMS selection, fuse protection, insulated and properly torqued busbars, voltage and temperature sensing, cell holders, spacing, enclosure design and thermal management. Supporting CE, UN38.3, RoHS and UL documentation can be provided where applicable to the selected product and shipment.
